Providers and profiles¶
Current implementation
This page describes what exists in source today, with its limitations. Existence of code is not evidence of publication, deployment or tested guarantees.
Logical profiles (target vocabulary)¶
code-fast · code-agent · code-agent-strong · reasoning · reasoning-high · structured · vision · long-context · embedding · reranker · pii-local. Clients and agent definitions reference profiles; the gateway resolves them. No profile exists in code today.

Agent framework: Microsoft.Agents.AI 1.21.0 in AgentsFramework, Factory and the template base; 1.8.0 in Factory.Messaging and Factory.Messaging.MassTransit (drift to resolve). Shared libraries multi-target net8/9/10; hosts are net10.
Deltas before a profile can be assigned¶
- A profile contract (capabilities, limits, privacy, latency class, price basis, embedding compatibility, allowed revisions) — packet PK-07.
- The gateway pipeline with policy, reservation and receipts — PK-08.
- Capability evaluation evidence per model (capability registry).
- Explicit fallback chains per profile with equivalent constraints.
- An Anthropic adapter (decided 2026-10-09, D16: required for the first solution pack; design only in this task, no code written).
