Rewritten 2026-10-09 (design plan P14)

This page replaces the June-2026 overview with its twelve marketplace services and nine asset types. The 2026 design is a later-stage host with two modules; the asset types are the Factory's asset kinds plus operated products. The old page is archived under catalogs 2026-06.

The Marketplace distributes what the Factory has already qualified. Every listing points at a Published release with evaluation evidence; installing it adds a scoped reference to the installing tenant's registry; paying for it goes through the tenant's own Factory subscription. The platform is designed now and built later: nothing earlier depends on it, and it depends on everything earlier.

Purpose

  • Distribute, never publish. Listings reference Published releases (BC-04, ADR-0021); a Deprecated release delists; a Revoked one delists and notifies.
  • Install by reference. Installation is a scoped release reference in the tenant's registry under the tenant's policy; nothing is copied.
  • One bill. Acquisition is against the Factory subscription (BC-34); usage pricing meters through the Factory's metering; spend above the threshold needs an approval of class spend (D21).
  • Certified publishers only, in public. Public listings need a certified publisher and a Platform admin approval; private, organization and partner visibilities exist for internal and partner distribution.
  • Discovery for agents too. Agent cards expose listings for A2A discovery (ADR-0023).
