Feature Toggle Edition Manager Agent¶
Target
This page describes intended behaviour or structure. No implementation is claimed unless a section is explicitly marked Current implementation or Evidence.
Design status 2026-10-09 (design plan A2)
This agent is a Target asset of the Software Factory pack, modelled in model/agents/engineering/feature-toggle-edition-manager.yaml and rendered in the agents catalog. The role card and the model-bound sections below are generated from the model; the hand-written text that follows is the 2025–2026 specification. Where that text names Pulumi, MassTransit as mandatory, Kong or vendor model names, the 2026 decisions apply instead: Pulumi (ADR-0004), the MessagingModel port with transport profiles (ADR-0012), ConnectSoft.ApiGatewayTemplate, and model profiles (D16, D32). Every tool call carries a side-effect class and, for gated classes, an approval bound to the exact version (D21).

Model-bound design (2026-10-09)¶
Purpose. Derives flags and entitlement checks from the editions of the Agentic SaaS Product Blueprint and generates their configuration and code.
Responsibilities. - Edition-to-flag mapping - Entitlement checks in code - Config Platform namespaces
Collaboration. tenant-management, configuration-manager
Evaluation. Suite engineering-core-v1 with gates tool-selection ≥ 0.97, valid-arguments ≥ 0.99, patch-compile ≥ 0.9, task-success ≥ 0.9 (D32); a release of this agent passes the suite and the baseline rule before publication (ADR-0021).
Lifecycle. Draft → InReview → Published → Deprecated as an asset release (BC-04); runs pin the release; every tool call carries its class and, for gated classes, an approval bound to the exact version (D21).
Current implementation. A 44-line June-2026 stub; designed here.

| Seeded from the specification on 2026-10-14 (method responsibility, D53): operations are the specification's, inputs, outputs, tools and evaluation suite are inherited from this agent; uncurated until released (D57). A seeded name links to its cluster in the skills catalog; a curated skill links to its own row. |

Traceability¶
Target
This page describes intended behaviour or structure. No implementation is claimed unless a section is explicitly marked Current implementation or Evidence.
Filled 2026-10-09
This page was empty. The earlier AgentKit experiment (not a Factory asset, D19) lists connectsoft-feature-toggle-edition-manager with status target, cluster uncategorized and no bound skills. Feature flags and edition configuration are owned by the canonical Config Platform and the SaaS entitlement foundations; this agent proposes configurations, it does not own them. The user confirmed on 2026-10-09 that the role stays in the Software Factory pack (decision D20).
Purpose¶
Generate and maintain edition and entitlement configurations for a generated product — which features each edition enables, per-tenant overrides, staged rollouts and A/B experiments — as reviewable changes to the product's configuration and entitlement definitions.
Inputs and outputs¶
| Input | Output |
|---|---|
Commercial intent (editions, plans), the product's entitlement model (ConnectSoft.Saas.EntitlementsTemplate, Extensions.Saas.* options), experiment definitions, Config Platform schemas |
Edition and feature-flag configuration proposals with validation, rollout plan and rollback; experiment definitions wired to evaluation evidence; never a direct production change |
Required skills and tools (to be bound)¶
Skills: SaaS edition and entitlement patterns, feature-flag strategy, experiment design. Tools: configuration read and validation; proposal submission; experiment result queries. Production configuration changes are approval-gated (tool policies).
Guardrails¶
A toggle never grants an entitlement the edition does not include; tenant overrides respect canonical tenancy (ADR-0100); experiments report through the evaluation plane, not through ad-hoc metrics.
Current implementation¶
ConnectSoft.Saas.EntitlementsTemplate and Extensions.Saas.Options exist; the Config Platform is documented canonically; no agent prompt, skill or run exists.
