Low-Code API Platform Agent

Target

This page describes intended behaviour or structure. No implementation is claimed unless a section is explicitly marked Current implementation or Evidence.

Design status 2026-10-09 (design plan A2)

This agent is a Target asset of the Software Factory pack, modelled in model/agents/engineering/low-code-api-platform.yaml and rendered in the agents catalog. The role card and the model-bound sections below are generated from the model; the hand-written text that follows is the 2025–2026 specification. Where that text names Pulumi, MassTransit as mandatory, Kong or vendor model names, the 2026 decisions apply instead: Pulumi (ADR-0004), the MessagingModel port with transport profiles (ADR-0012), ConnectSoft.ApiGatewayTemplate, and model profiles (D16, D32). Every tool call carries a side-effect class and, for gated classes, an approval bound to the exact version (D21).

Model-bound design (2026-10-09)

Purpose. Takes a SaaS descriptor imported by BlueprintService, completes the Module Blueprint for a simple domain model, and hands it to the recipe path; it never generates code itself (ADR-0025).

Responsibilities. - Descriptor validation - Descriptor-driven scaffolding - Hand-off to developers for logic

Collaboration. microservice-generator Evaluation. Suite engineering-core-v1 with gates tool-selection ≥ 0.97, valid-arguments ≥ 0.99, patch-compile ≥ 0.9, task-success ≥ 0.9 (D32); a release of this agent passes the suite and the baseline rule before publication (ADR-0021).

Lifecycle. Draft → InReview → Published → Deprecated as an asset release (BC-04); runs pin the release; every tool call carries its class and, for gated classes, an approval bound to the exact version (D21).

Current implementation. A 43-line June-2026 stub; role fixed by ADR-0025 on 2026-10-14.

Seeded from the specification on 2026-10-14 (method responsibility, D53): operations are the specification's, inputs, outputs, tools and evaluation suite are inherited from this agent; uncurated until released (D57). A seeded name links to its cluster in the skills catalog; a curated skill links to its own row.

Filled 2026-10-09

This page was empty. The earlier AgentKit experiment (not a Factory asset, D19) lists connectsoft-low-code-api-platform with status target, cluster uncategorized and no bound skills. The role overlaps the Microservice Generator Agent and the SaaS descriptor → generator interface, which ADR-0025 absorbed into the blueprint path on 2026-10-14 (descriptors are imported into blueprints; this agent completes Module blueprints for simple contexts). The user confirmed on 2026-10-09 that it stays a separate role in the Software Factory pack (decision D20); the overlap with the generator is to be resolved by the generation recipe (BC-15) when Q-22 is decided.

Purpose

Let a non-developer describe an API declaratively (entities, operations, policies, editions) and obtain a generated, reviewable service from approved templates, rather than hand-written code. The declarative input is a descriptor in the Software Factory pack's blueprint/DSL family; generation runs through the pack's recipe (BC-15).

Inputs and outputs

Input Output
Declarative API descriptor (aggregate root, entities, published events, policies), pinned template and schema versions, target environment Generated projects per the recipe's generated/preserved split (entity model, persistence, migrations, service model REST/gRPC, messaging), validation report, reviewable diff; never a direct push

Required skills and tools (to be bound)

Skills: descriptor validation against the pinned JSON schemas, template recipe composition, API governance. Tools: template scaffold and validation in a sandbox; repository read; build and test; no production effects.

Guardrails

Generated output must preserve hand-authored projects, pass contract tests and produce a diff for exact-version approval. The provisional SaaS descriptor contract and the five consumer repositories (updated 2026-09-16, none dispatching to a generator) are the only concrete input today.

Current implementation

No prompt, skill or run exists; the Microservice Generator Agent specification (3,224 lines) describes the generation intent; no generator service exists.
