Short-Term Plan

This document outlines the short-term roadmap and immediate priorities for the ConnectSoft AI Software Factory, covering the period from January 2026 through Q2 2026. It focuses on stabilizing core capabilities, establishing foundational features, and enabling the first customer projects.

This roadmap is aligned with the overall Strategic Goals and focuses on Phase 1: Stabilize Core.

Overview

The short-term plan focuses on:

  • Core Template Stability - Production-ready microservice template
  • Essential Agents - Foundation agents operational and validated
  • Basic Orchestration - Agent collaboration and workflow execution
  • Foundation Infrastructure - Knowledge system, Azure DevOps integration, basic Studio UI
  • First Customer Enablement - Factory MVP ready for initial customer projects

Timeline: January - June 2026

January 2026: Foundation Setup

Focus: Core infrastructure and template stabilization

Deliverables:

  • Core microservice template validated and production-ready
  • Template catalog domain operational
  • Basic knowledge & memory system (vector search, metadata storage)
  • Azure DevOps integration working (repositories, work items, pipelines)
  • Initial Studio UI for project management

Success Criteria:

  • Microservice template generates valid, deployable services
  • Template catalog can list, preview, and apply templates
  • Knowledge system can store and retrieve patterns
  • Azure DevOps integration creates repos and work items successfully

February 2026: Foundation Agents

Focus: Core agent implementation and validation

Deliverables:

  • Vision Architect Agent operational
  • Solution Architect Agent operational
  • Backend Developer Agent operational
  • QA Engineer Agent operational
  • DevOps Engineer Agent operational
  • Basic agent orchestration working

Success Criteria:

  • All foundation agents can execute their primary skills
  • Agents can collaborate in simple workflows
  • Agent outputs are traceable and observable
  • Agent execution success rate > 80%

March 2026: Integration and Testing

Focus: End-to-end integration and quality validation

Deliverables:

  • Complete agent collaboration patterns working
  • End-to-end workflow from blueprint to deployed service
  • Comprehensive testing framework for generated code
  • Observability and tracing for all agent actions
  • Studio UI enhancements for run monitoring

Success Criteria:

  • Full workflow executes successfully end-to-end
  • Generated code passes all quality gates
  • Observability data is complete and accessible
  • Studio UI provides clear visibility into Factory operations

April 2026: First Customer Projects

Focus: Customer enablement and feedback integration

Deliverables:

  • First customer project successfully delivered
  • Customer feedback mechanisms in place
  • Iterative improvements based on real usage
  • Documentation and onboarding materials
  • Support processes established

Success Criteria:

  • Customer project delivered on time with quality
  • Customer satisfaction scores > 4.0/5.0
  • Feedback loop operational and producing improvements
  • Documentation enables customer self-service

May-June 2026: Stabilization and Refinement

Focus: Quality improvements and operational excellence

Deliverables:

  • Performance optimizations
  • Bug fixes and stability improvements

  • Improved observability and debugging tools
  • Expanded documentation
